Xavier Isaac has been one of the players to drop a fair amount on prospect rankings recently, and I might have him ranked highest among any other list. His raw power is elite and makes solid swing decisions, but has struggled mightily with swing and miss as he has climbed the Rays system into High-A and Double-A. His K% in 2023 at Low-A Charleston and High-A Bowling Green was just 21.2, but jumped to 33.3% between High-A and Double-Montgomery in 2024. Regardless, Isaac still has plenty of upside as a power hitter as he consistently reaches exit velocities upwards near 110+ mph when he’s getting the bat on the ball. Isaac has also got into great shape as well, which resulted in 15 stolen bases in 2024 as an improved defender at first base. Isaac’s contact skills are the difference between him being a bust and a potential future all-star. He did put together a .957 OPS at the Arizona Fall League in October and received a non-roster invite to Tampa Bay’s spring training.
