Thomas White comes in as the lone Marlin on my top 50 and the 11th ranked pitching prospect. White was regarded as the top left handed arm in the 2023 draft class, and while he only got a four inning sample size at pro-ball in 2023, White really gained attention this past season. White was only 19 years old for the entirety of the 2024 season, and among qualified pitchers across all levels aged 19 or younger, White led in ERA, and was second in both FIP and K-BB%. White displays three above average offerings, a fastball sitting anywhere from 94-97 mph, a sweeping slider that derived from a curveball he used to throw, and a changeup that is still in progress, but a plus pitch nonetheless. At 6’5” White creates problems for opposing hitters. His control and command have room to improve, but entering just his age 20 season, the Marlins have a lot of time to develop White into a frontline starter - something they have a track record of doing pretty well.
