Jasson Dominguez has a one-up on a lot of top prospects as he already has valuable big league time under his belt, and he is most likely to have a full-time starting job out of spring training. Dominguez would have graduated by now, but missed a large chunk of 2024 due to injury following an impressive debut in 2023 in which he homered off of Justin Verlander in his first career at-bat. In his 33 big league plate appearances in 2023, Dominguez posted an impressive .677 SLG and a .980 OPS. However, he was lackluster in 2024 after returning from injury, having posted a slash line of just .179/.313/.304 over 67 plate appearances. I wouldn’t hold that against him as he had a weird season dealing with injury, and should bounce back in a healthy season with regular playing time. Dominguez has a solid combination of hit and power from both sides of the plate which should play well in Yankee Stadium long term.
