Chase DeLauter is one of two Cleveland Guardians prospects on my top 50, and had it not been for a few injuries, DeLauter likely would not have even been a prospect headed into 2025. DeLauter had a very impressive 2023 season which he also leveraged into a great spring with the big league club in 2024. In 242 plate appearances across the complex league, High-A Lake County, and Double-A Akron, DeLauter put up an impressive .355/.417/.528 slash line, while striking out only 12.4% of the time. DeLauter possesses one of the better hit/power combinations in minor league baseball, but has still yet to really tap into that 60 grade power simply because injuries have hindered him from getting consistent playing time. DeLauter is running back another non-roster invite to spring training and can potentially make the team as an outfielder out of camp. He has experience at all three outfield positions, and will likely be best served in right field because of his plus arm.
