Aidan Miller was one of the top prospect risers in 2024, and for good reason. Philadelphia’s number one prospect on my top 50 was one of just eight minor league shortstops in 2024 with 10+ home runs, 20+ stolen bases, and a wRC+ over 130. He also managed to do that in his age 19-20 season. Like Sebastian Walcott, many would be led to believe Miller is destined for a move to third base because of his size, power profile, and strong arm, but Miller still hasn’t played elsewhere in his minor league career. He has displayed an average to an above-average ability to play the position thus far. On top of the defense, Miller should be a 20+ stolen base threat every year which gives him a pretty high floor as a mult-tool shortstop. Offensively, Miller is pretty versatile as well. Aside from the power, he has shown an ability to limit strikeouts while drawing walks and making a lot of contact.
